Call for nominations: 2026 IFAC Foundation Diversity and Inclusion Award

Award

The winner (or winning team) receives a certificate and cash prize of 2000 euro (total) at the time of the IFAC World Congress 2026. Moreover, the awardee(s) will deliver a semi-plenary talk during the IFAC World Congress in Busan.

Eligibility

Members of the Selection Committee and the Foundation Board cannot be nominees or nominators. Self-nominations are possible.

Selection criteria

The award is given to an individual or a team that has made outstanding contributions to the scientific promotion and/or the advancement of diversity and inclusion within IFAC (conference/event, technical committee, publications, NMO, etc). The contribution could represent a single activity, or a sustained effort over multiple years.

The selection committee chair is Lidia Auret (KR).

Nomination procedure

The nomination form contains detailed instructions on the preparation of the nomination. It can be found at this link.

Nominations should be sent to the email address indicated in the nomination form. The nomination statement should describe the contributions, and what the impact has been within IFAC, and should mention specific outcomes, for example via qualitative or quantitative metrics.

The deadline for nominations is February 15, 2026. 

The winner and nominator will be notified by the Chair of the IFAC Foundation Board in April 2026.
