The IFAC Foundation assists in the organisation and funding of regional courses held in developing countries where IFAC does not have a strong presence. The aims of these courses are to raise awareness of the scientific achievements of control and automation engineering, and to promote the work of graduate students, young lecturers and researchers working in this field. Regional courses have been held in Thailand, Costa Rica, and Algeria. Other relevant courses are also supported, i.e. such as those aimed at improving inclusion and diversity.
