Activities

Some typical activities that the IFAC Foundation will support are:

• assistance with travel and local expenses of authors from developing countries whose papers have been accepted for IFAC events
• assistance with the participation of IFAC officers from developing countries in IFAC meetings
• aid for students to attend IFAC events
• grants and scholarships for deserving students and young researchers
• promotion of research areas of value to society
• support production of:
  • promotional material on topics in the fields of IFAC (not for commercial purposes)
  • educational materials that encourage students of all ages to pursue careers in control
• encouragement of young people to become involved in IFAC
• recruitment of affiliate members to IFAC
• expansion of IFAC's capability to chronicle the history of automatic control
