Young Authors' Support Program

The IFAC Foundation considers applications for support of young authors’ attendance at major conferences of automatic control.

The conferences include the IFAC World Congresses and the IFAC Symposia.

Eligible for support are authors of accepted technical papers – citizens of a developing country – whose age will be less than 30 years during the conference. Only one author per paper can be supported.

The support consists of a lump sum to help defray the cost of registration, accommodation and travel expenses related to the conference.

Applications should be addressed to the conference organizer by eligible authors.

A presentation of the paper at the conference by the winner is a requisite for support.

The first Call was open to participate in the 17th IFAC World Congress, Seoul, 2008.

This Call included the funding previously announced as Michel Cuenod Foundation grants.

New actions were approved at the last meeting of the Board of Trustees held in Seoul, to collaborate with IFAC Symposia organizers.
